The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd has inaugurated the reconstituted revenue committee of the local government.
Inaugurating the committee in his office at the local government headquarters on Thursday, Dr. Lloyd charged the chairman and members of the committee to put in their best to improve the internal revenue generation of the local government area.
He thanked members of the immediate past revenue committee for their resultful service to the council during their tenure, while urging the newly inaugurated revenue chairman to consolidate on the gains of his predecessor.
Speaking further, the Emolga council Boss enjoined members of the revenue committee to operate within the ambits of the law, encouraging them to add human face to their operations, in line with his administration’s commitment to changing the narrative about Emohua local government area, with a view to attracting investors to the area.

Meanwhile, Dr. Lloyd has directed the local government revenue committee to evacuate all illegal occupants of Emohua ultramodern market and motor park along the East-West road with immediate effect.
The directive followed reports of unlawful gatherings and illegal activities within the market and its environs by yet to be identified occupants of facilities in the market.
